Pokemon BREED contest entry

My entry for 's Pokemon B.R.E.E.D. Contest.

A descendant of a male Yanmega and a female Gyarados holding the B.R.E.E.D. item.

Name: Chirade
Flying fish pokemon
Type: water/flying
Ability: Compoundeyes/ Swift swim

Chirade is most at home in rather warm waters. It leaps out of the water to catch flying insects and to escape predators, both of which it can easily spot with its large, keen eyes. Older individuals can actually fly by rapidly flapping their pectoral fins while very young ones can only glide. They breathe with gills which limits the time they can stay airborne. When having to move rapidly the fish often dives to breathe and then leaps immediately back up.
Evolves into Chirathan.
