Suicune

Ah the nostalgy...
I'm well aware of the cats-or-dogs dispute about Suicune, Raikou and Entei, the three legendary pokemon of the second generation. Personally I always saw them as felines; cheetah, (saber-toothed)tiger and lion respectively.

Then, one day some years ago I was bored out of my mind during a biology class and for reasons unknown I ended up thinking about pokemon. It might have been the biology theme, but suddenly I got this idea about suicune not being a cheetah or any other carnivorous mammal, but a deer. It's said to run at very high speeds for long times, it has horn-like appendages on it's head, some kind of mane and no real tail (I just can't think of those white flowing things as tails. More like ribbons that for who knows what reason are stuck to the butt of a blue deer.) That doesn't actually scream cat or dog to me, so I decided to make my own version

I'm not currently planning on making the other two of the trio. I always liked Suicune way more than the others. But if I ever decided to draw them, Entei would be a fu dog and Raikou... still a saber-toothed tiger thing, I think.
